The premise of "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" was reminiscent of "Meet the Robinsons" -- an inventor who is misunderstood and searching for love and acceptance. But around the 2/3rds mark "Cloudy" takes a turn and the plot starts spoofing adult movies. A well-done movie reference I don't mind, but I did mind the Jar Jar Binks type character. You know -- the kind of character only a select few will find funny. Aside from that there were some heart warming moments, some moments of self realization and some giant sized food.
After the movie Desiree (5) insisted on keeping her 3D glasses on and had me put her hair up in a ponytail.
Overall it was an interesting movie -- especially with the 3D food falling from the sky, but if I had a time machine I'd have to admit I'd go see "Meet the Robinsons" again instead.
